Other events include Vietnamese and American Indian Festivals, Gun shows, Quilting Shows, Job Fairs, Farmer’s Markets, and Home-building Expos. Perhaps the main event of the year is the Central Florida Fair, which was founded in 1910. Each year over a quarter of a million visitors will come to sample the rides and the food and to help support the community during the 11-day event. Over $200,000 in prize money will be awarded in creative arts, horticulture, livestock, sciences, and scholarships will be given to local youth in the community. Entertainment featuring singers, dancers, and musicians will be provided on three stages throughout the fairgrounds.
